My name is Adrian Mole, I am 13 and three quarters, a poet and intellectual, but I'm not actually very clever.

I have an embarrassing level of acne which sometimes prevents me from going out, short brown hair and glasses. I am a little short because I am malnourished, but sometimes my grandma rescues me and feeds me properly. It's no wonder that I have so many spots. But that's a story for another day.

I live with my mother is a feminist and my father who works selling storage heaters. And the dog.

I am madly and deeply in love with Pandora Braithwaite, who one day I will marry.

Adrian is an average boy in many respects, with no special abilities or powers. He is kind at heart, but can be naive, gullible and opinionated.

Because his canon is a diary, when switching to italics, with or without '', this is to show how he might reflect on the situation later when writing his diary. It doesn't mean that he's writing the diary at the time or even that the thought will make it into his entry.
